On the first anniversary of the canonisation of Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati and Saint Carlo Acutis on 7 September 2025, we invite Catholic Action associations around the world to remember Saint Pier Giorgio with the words of Pope Leo XIV during his homily
Pier Giorgio encountered the Lord through school and church groups – Catholic Action, the Conferences of St Vincent, the FUCI, the Dominican Third Order – and bore witness to this through his joy in life and in being a Christian through prayer, friendship and charity.(…) Even today, Pier Giorgio’s life shines as a beacon for lay spirituality.
We propose three days of preparation for the anniversary, Monday 7 September 2026.
On a personal level, within the Catholic Action group, in the parish, in the diocese
Take part in the Eucharistic celebration, in Eucharistic adoration, pray the Rosary, organise a gathering with friends, perform an act of charity…
