The Italian Catholic Action has organised a training course for parish presidents, parish assistants, diocesan council members that will take place from September 2025 to June 2026.
The programme will offer four online meetings, some materials related to the topics of reference, a proposal for sharing in the diocesan councils and, finally, five face-to-face meetings located in different areas of the country, from which you can choose one based on proximity or your availability.
OBJECTIVES
- Care for the formation and spiritual life of each individual leader
- Synodality and fraternity, as values in relationships within the association and in terms of promoting the association
- Being a ‘Church that goes forth’ and living communion, participation and mission
- Rediscovering intergenerational relationships and the care of transitions of responsibility
- Places of association life as places of formation and synodality.
Support and accompany the desire for formation of parish presidents, parish assistants and diocesan council members by serving the varied needs and demands of the territories and seeking to translate the indications of the prophetic phase of the Synodal Journey into association practice.
THEMES
» Lay spirituality. A spirituality that is not above or separate from existence, but which preserves its entirety, allowing people’s experiences to be held together and preventing a separation between the various dimensions of life.
» The associative bond. The care of the associative bond and fraternal relationships felt as a primary responsibility, lived in unity and enriched by intergenerationality, with the awareness that everyone’s contribution is important regardless of their role in the association or their experience.
» The bond with the Church and the local area. Caring for one’s community and local area, in order to be builders of alliances “inside and outside” the ecclesial world, and to help local associations to think about their educational proposal in a missionary key.
