To participate in the Jubilee of Associations and Movements
On Saturday morning, 7 June, the Jubilee pilgrimage took place with the Steering Committee of the Pius XI Foundation, with the celebration of Holy Mass presided over by Mons. Eduardo Garcia in St. Peter’s Basilica at the Altar of the Immaculate Conception.
On the afternoon of Saturday, 7 June, the members of the IFCA Secretariat participated in the pre-vigil and vigil with Pope Leo XIV. Marija Cachia (AC Malta) and Baselisse Ndayisaba (MAC Burundi) Paola Fratini (AC Italy) were involved in the liturgy of the Vigil.
On Sunday, 8 June, the group participated in Holy Mass for the Jubilee of Associations and Movements presided over by Pope Leo XIV. Jean Jeacques Fall (MAC Senegal) read the first reading.
To celebrate ONE MINUTE FOR PEACE
On Sunday afternoon, 8 June, members of the IFCA Secretariat participated in the International Conference ‘Pax et Bonum’ and in the torchlight procession to invoke peace organised by Italian Catholic Action and the Giuseppe Toniolo Institute of International Peace Law.
The international conference was presented to journalists during a press conference on Friday 6 June at 12 noon.
For the annual meeting of the Secretariat
On Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 June, the Secretariat held its meetings on the way towards the IX Assembly of IFAC in 2026.
Some members of the Secretariat also participated in initiatives promoted by the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life and by WUCWO (1-6 June).
- Emilio Inzaurraga (IFCA America responsible) and Claudia Carbajal de Inzaurraga (AC Argentina), consultants to the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, participated on 1 June in the Jubilee for Families, Grandparents and Children; on 2-3 June they were invitees to the seminar Families of today and tomorrow. Ecclesiological and pastoral challenges
- Eva Fernández Mateo, Giuseppe Notarstefano (AC Italy), Claudia Carbajal de Inzaurraga (AC Argentina) participated from 4 to 6 June in the Annual Meeting with Moderators of ecclesial communities of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life. Eva’s testimony was included in the programme and Giuseppe coordinated a working group.
- Eva Fernández Mateo, Ana Maria Rebeca Vilchis Chavez and Maria del Consuelo Flores (AC Mexico) and Marija Cachia (AC Malta), Simona Tatiana Pașcu (AC Romania) participated in the WUCWO Conference ‘Women, signs of Hope and Life’ on the afternoon of 6 June.
- On Friday evening, 6 June, the Steering Committee of the Catholic Action Foundation School of Sanctity Pius XI met on the way to the Third Assembly in February 2026. Giuseppe Notarstefano, Eva Fernández Mateo, and Ana Maria Rebeca Vilchis Chavez participated in the meeting.
