The National Biennial Convention of the Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas is held every two years.
It is guided by a theme that is set by the LAIKO Board of Directors.
Each LAIKO Member (National Organization, Archdiocesan / Diocesan Commission / Council of the Laity can send at least five delegates (including 3 with voting rights) representing their organization.
During the Convention, Election of the LAIKO National Board of Directors will take place.

This year, LAIKO is also celebrating the 75th anniversary of its foundation.
Laiko is member of IFCA as representive of Philippines. Albert Loteyro participates in the IFCA secretariat, is the chairman of the Biennial national convention 2025. During the convention there will be the election of of a new set of Board of Laiko.
