The Giuseppe Toniolo International Law for Peace Institute – in collaboration with Italian Catholic Action, the Pontifical Lateran University and the International Forum of Catholic Action (FIAC) – is organising a public conference on the Pontifical Message for World Peace Day (1 January 2026) on Saturday 31 January 2026 in Rome at the Domus Mariae (TH Roma in Via Aurelia 481) in Rome.

This year’s theme is ‘Peace be with you all: towards an “unarmed and disarming” peace’.

The conference will take place from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will consist of two working sessions.

The first, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will have a more scientific focus and will reflect on: “Unarmed peace: style and organisation”.

In the afternoon, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the proceedings will continue with a round table discussion with representatives of civil society on “Disarming peace: tools”.

Simultaneous translation into English and Spanish will be provided for the first session. To register, simply send a message to
