APOSTOLIC LETTER In unitate fidei on the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea
Tomorrow I will travel to Turkey and then to Lebanon to visit the dear peoples of those countries rich in history and spirituality. It will also be an opportunity to commemorate the 1,700th anniversary of the first Ecumenical Council held in Nicaea and to meet with the Catholic community, our Christian brothers and sisters, and members of other religions. I ask you to accompany me with your prayers.

‘Domani mi recherò in Turkia e poi in Libano per compiere una visita alle care popolazioni di quei Paesi ricchi di storia e di spiritualità. Sarà anche l’occasione per ricordare i 1700 anni del primo Concilio ecumenico celebrato a Nicea e incontrare la comunità cattolica, i fratelli cristiani e di altre religioni. Vi chiedo di accompagnarmi con la vostra preghiera.’
