On Thursday, 16 October, the Custos of the Holy Land, Br. Francesco Ielpo, accompanied by several of his Franciscan Minor confreres, met with the national presidency of Catholic Action in Rome.
The meeting once again strengthened the bonds of friendship and solidarity between Italian Catholic Action and the Christians of the Holy Land.
It was an important opportunity to learn about what is happening in the Holy Land after the fragile truce and to imagine ways in which the Association can get involved.
The intention emerged to promote initiatives to be launched during the Month of Peace, traditionally observed by the Association in January each year.
The FIAC secretary also participated to confirm the commitment of friendship with the living stones of the Holy Land on the part of all the ACs in the world: the promotion and animation of the Good Friday collection, pilgrimages, twinning with parishes, service to the Hogar de ninos in Bethlehem, etc.
